A simply beautiful Chelsea Derby dessert dish in the Sevres style, dating to c1775.  Formerly in the Turner Collection and carries collection label to base.

The circular fluted dish is decorated with pink roses, most likely the work of Edward Withers, with the most amazing peacock's eye rim, together with cloud shaped panels featuring further roses.  This is pattern 14 in the Derby Plate Pattern Book.

A joy to handle - finely potted, quality porcelain and beautifully finished.  There is even a gilded band to the outer footrim.

In excellent condition with only minor wear.  Marked with crown over D in puce.
