A scarce circular dessert dish manufactured at Derby, and decorated at William Billingsley's decorating establishment at Mansfield, c1800.
 
The dish is boldly decorated with fruit and leaves.  The piece previously appeared in April 2006 at a Christies' auction (bears auction sticker to reverse) where it and an additional four dishes achieved a hammer price in excess of £2000.
 
In excellent condition - no chips, cracks, crazing or restoration, just some wear to the gilt at the rim.
