A beautiful Derby porcelain cabinet cup and saucer in cobalt blue, enhanced with gilding, and with finely painted birds within a landscape - probably the work of John Hancock Junior.
The set dates to approximately 1840, and is in very good condition for its age, having a very short, fine hairline at the inner rim, not visible on the outside.
Faintly marked with Bloor Derby gothic Crown and D in red to the underside.
