A very fine Derby porcelain plate, known as the Norfolk pattern (Plate Pattern 80 in the Derby Pattern Books).  Decorated with three superb flower bouquets, featuring roses, campanula and auriculas together with central sprig, hand painted by William Billingsley, c1785.

Marked with crown, crossed batons, dots and D in puce, and with gilder's number 1 for Thomas Soar.

 

In excellent condition.  No chips, cracks, hairlines, crazing or restoration.
