A large Derby porcelain plate with superb hand painted landscape by George Robertson, dating to c1795.
 
The landscape is titled "Near Northallerton, Yorkshire" and is surrounded by dog's tooth gilding with further gilding around the apple green rim.
 
Marked with title and factory mark in blue. Pattern number 321. Collection label to underside (previously in my collection).
 
Condition: The plate has a star crack to the reverse, some of which shows through on the upper side (please see photos). There is also a chip to the rim on the reverse side and the plate looks as though it has overheated in the kiln.  Some regilding also.
