A lovely Liverpool porcelain sauce boat, made by the Philip Christian's factory, c1765-70.

The sauce boat features the Cannon Ball pattern in underglaze blue, surrounded by moulded C scrolls, and with further intricate moulding.

In very good condition, but does have a small chip to the rim, a small firing crack which goes part way across the handle and some kiln dust.

Superb early piece.
