A beautiful set of 6 Derby porcelain dessert plates in Plate Pattern 18 - the central rose painting by the famous "rose painter" himself, William Billingsley.
Although artists were not permitted to sign their work until more recent times, Billingsley often marked pieces with his gilder's number 7, which he accentuated into what is now known as "the long tailed 7."  All 6 plates carry this mark.
In very good condition, but with varying degrees of wear to the gilding.
