A fine Coalport sucrier or sugar box, dating to c1800.

It is decorated in a most unusual pattern, almost mimicking New Hall, and is thought to be an elaborate version of pattern 406 which features in Michael Berthoud's "The Lost Patterns of John Rose."

The sucrier is in excellent condition, just a little rubbing to the gilding here and there.  No chips, cracks, hairlines or restoration.

Measures 6.25 inches long, 4.25 inches wide and 4.25 inches tall.  No factory markings or pattern numbers to base.
