A rare Worcester porcelain dessert dish, decorated in the London atelier of James Giles, c1775-80.
The dish is decorated with a variety of fruit - the work of the "Spotted Fruit Painter" reputed to be James Giles himself.
The dish has previously been in two prestigious collections, and bears labels for the Crane Collection and for the Robert and Celia Morris Collection.
In excellent condition, no cracks, crazing, hairlines or restoration, just some unglazed areas and kiln spots at the rim and two flat chips on the foot rim. Measures 8 inches across.
